Our client came to us for help after she unintentionally overstayed on her Tourist Visa Subclass 600. As a consequence of her overstay, she was told by an immigration officer at Sydney airport that she was subject to a three year bar, which meant that she would not be granted any Australian visa for the next three years. The client was shocked and devastated. The exclusion period would have had an enormous adverse impact on her personal situation since the client has close friends and family in Australia that she wants to visit.
ILC Lawyers helped the client lodge a Tourist Visa Subclass 600 on 28 July 2016 and after three weeks, she was granted the visa by the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection, which has a one year duration.
